President Barack Obama’s final birthday as an active President looked more like an A-list Hollywood party, as the White House hosted a star-studded event for the President’s 55th birthday. The President’s birthday is August 4th but the White House and First Lady Michelle Obama throwing a huge party on Friday the 5th.

In an official statement from the White House, a representative stated, “The First lady is hosting a 55th birthday celebration for the President at the White House. The guest list includes a large number of family members and friends to mark the occasion.” Let’s just said the President has a lot friends.

The guest list looked like a roster for an after party to the Grammys or Academy Awards. Reported guests include: Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar (Obama’s favorite rapper), Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Usher, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Samuel L. Jackson, George Lucas, Robin Roberts,  Magic Johnson, and Alonzo Mourning. Some of the most powerful people in Washington were also in attendance, including Vice President Joe Biden, House Minority Nancy Pelosi, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Democratic Presidential Hillary Clinton, Reverend Al Sharpton, and Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel.

We don’t know if any of this top list artists performed, but I’m sure they didn’t charge the President for their services. Beyonce tickets are some of the most valued tickets in the music business right now, but I have a feeling she would sing a few songs free of charge for Obama and his guests. The Obamas will now begin their annual two-week vacation at Martha’s Vineyard.
