2016 ended with no surprise, with the Connecticut women’s basketball team sitting atop the rankings. UConn has dominated their opponents, with an average winning margin of over 23 points in their 13-0 start. They have also beaten ranked opponents by an average of over 16 points, with their only close game coming against Florida State in the opener, which they won by two. The Duke Women’s Basketball team has actually been a surprise this season, as they were unranked in the preseason poll but now sit 13th with a 12-1 record. UConn fans are probably the only fans who can start saving for NCAA Women’s Final Four tickets, but for every other team, there is still plenty of basketball left. ¬†Below are the AP Top 25 in women’s college basketball at the end of 2016.
