We’ve seen everything from Transformers, to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even the Bratz dolls don the big screen over the last decade. One piece of pop culture that we surprisingly haven’t seen rebooted in Hollywood is the Power Rangers. The wait is over.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers made its television debut in 1993 and was one of the most popular toys and crazes for kids growing up in the 90s. Every one had their favorite color Ranger and watched the episodes on their VCRs countless times. Lionsgate is making an attempt to bring that magic back with a film that is set to be released on March 24, 2017.
The movie will star Bryan Cranston as Zordon, the mentor of the Power Rangers. The cast for the Rangers will be Darce Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, and Ludi Lin. Bill Hader will play the role of Alpha 5, a robot assistant whose metallic body can mutate for various purposes.
