Offseason Transactions: Charlotte Hornets

July 10, 2016:

Marvin Williams, Forward – Re-signed to a multiyear contract

The Hornets brought back one of their main pieces from last season in Williams. Hornets coach Steve Clifford must have struck a chord with Williams, who had his best season in nearly six seasons in his first year with the Hornets.

July 7, 2016:

Nicolas Batum, Guard/Forward – Re-signed to a five-year contract
Ramon Sessions, Guard – Signed to a two-year contract

Roy Hibbert, Center – Signed to a one-year contract

Brian Roberts, Guard –¬†Signed to a one-year contract

Marco Belinelli, Guard/Forward – Acquired from Sacramento for the draft rights to Malachi Richardson

The Batum signing makes the french-born player the highest paid player on the team. Fans may not be buying Hornets tickets to just see Batum play, but he is one of the best overall forwards in the league and gives this team a steady and productive leader for the foreseeable future.
