Ross Brawn Named Formula One Sporting Boss

Ross Brawn (GBR, Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team),

The man who brought Ferrari, Mercedes, Benetton, and Brawn GP racing teams to Formula One has now become the new sporting boss for the entire sport.

Ross Brawn signed a contract to become head of the sporting side of Formula One with new series owners Liberty Media with the approval of F1’s governing body, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile. Brawn is known for starting up the now unbeatable Mercedes team and as the FIA President Jean Todt at Ferrari.

His duties will involve the technical and sporting regulations, acting as a liaison between teams and the FIA and the new outward face of F1
