Adele Ticket Information

British songstress Adele isn’t your typical pop star. The London-born singer lives a relatively quiet life with her boyfriend and child in England, and she doesn’t conform to the stereotypical image of the pop starlet. Adele isn’t ultra-thin, she doesn’t dance around much, and her music isn’t full of bumping beats and shallow lyrics. But despite her unique approach, Adele has become one of the music industry’s most important figures. Her powerful voice and superb skill with songcraft have won her the adoration of fans and the respect of the music establishment. Adele Adkins doesn’t have to look like Katy Perry to sell Adele tickets and CDs, and that’s exactly the point: Adele’s music is about the craft of the song and the power of her voice, not about imagery or marketing.

In that one important way, Adele has always been the same. She’s always put her music first, singing for the joy of singing rather than for the paycheck. But in a myriad of other ways, Adele’s life and career have changed dramatically from her early years. Adele has gone from a virtual nobody with a few songs shared online to a international superstar, a force to be reckoned with the in the music industry. And all of this has happened before Adele’s 30th birthday.

Adele was born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins. Her parents lived in North London, and that’s where she was raised. She found her love of music at a young age. She was admitted to the prestigious BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology, a music-focused secondary school in London. BRIT is well-known for its successful alumni, and Adele now figures prominently on the list.

Adele first got into the music business in high school, but only in the DIY manner of most aspiring artists. While still attending the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology, Adele wrote, performed, and self-produced her work. There was no record deal in place back then – Adele just started posting her music online and hoping to get noticed. Her faith was rewarded when one of her songs took off on social media, attracting the attention of fans and, eventually, the music label XL Recordings. Adele got the call before she turned 20 years old – when her peers were headed off to universities, she was headed off to the recording studio.

Just a year out of high school, Adele tickets were already a hot item: she was headlining her own shows and soon released her debut album, 19. The album’s title referred her age at the time that she wrote and recorded most of the tracks. 19 garnered Adele plenty of critical acclaim. She took home awards on both sides of the Atlantic, including Grammys for Best new Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Adele was a young pop star already, though she didn’t seem to fit the mold. She wasn’t a Disney star and she didn’t primarily target teens and tweens. She was a serious singer-songwriter instead. Despite the unconventional approach, it quickly became obvious that there was a market for her music.

19 may have made Adele a respected industry figure, but it was her sophomore effort, 21, that made her a true superstar. Inspired by a tough breakup, 21 featured hit after hit, including “Someone Like You,” “Rolling in the Deep,” “Set Fire to the Rain,” and “Rumour Has It.” 21 hit number one in the US, UK, and more than two dozen other countries. To go with her industry awards and original audience, Adele now had a new audience of millions. Airplay of the singles from 21 drew audiences to her live concerts, and new opportunities seemed to be everywhere.

Adele had found her success young. Unfortunately for her, she found her first setback at a young age, too. Adele’s career took a scary turn in 2011, when she had to stop touring due to a vocal cord hemorrhage. She had to get laser microsurgery to solve the problem, and was forced to take an extended period of time off from singing. That meant no touring and no new recording for some time. After getting the procedure done in Boston, Massachusetts, Adele was quiet for months and months. In an industry that seems to specialize in giving each of its stars 15 minutes of fame, the hiatus seemed like a career-killer. When she returned, some wondered, would she still be able to hit all of her notes? Would her audience remember who she was?

Those fears proved to be unfounded. Adele’s throat issues didn’t stop her from continuing with her career, and she soon emerged again with the same powerful voice – and, of course, the same unparalleled songwriting skills. In 2012, the very next year after the throat surgery, she made a triumphant return with a live performance at the Grammys. Her impressive performance laid to rest all doubts about the quality of her voice: Adele was back. She followed up the live performance by taking advantage of new in-studio opportunities. Adele recorded “Skyfall,” the theme to the James Bond film of the same name. “Skyfall” broke records for Bond theme songs and is generally considered one of the best songs ever written for the franchise.

Adele’s next and most recent album, 25, came out in 2015. Once again, Adele named her record after the age she was when she wrote and performed it. 25 did not disappoint. The new album reestablished Adele as the queen of soulful pop songwriting and performance, and fans snatched it off the shelf. For the third straight time, Adele had produced a masterful record that defied pop conventions while finding a huge audience.

Still in her late 20s, Adele has her whole career in front of her – and she shows no signs of slowing down. With her voice back at full strength and an album full of new hits to perform, she’s back on the road and touring to support 25. It’s no surprise that dedicated fans continue to snap up Adele tickets and copies of her three fantastic studio albums.
