I don’t know about the rest of you, but I thought I’ve had enough of award season. With the Grammy conversations just about a thing of the past, I thought that was it. But then I remembered the BRIT awards. This year’s festivities brought out performances from Lorde, Disclosure, AlunaGeorge and Arctic Monkeys, as well as appearances by Beyonce, Pharrell, and a few other non-Brits.

2014 BRIT Awards Recap

With a little less controversy than the Grammy’s, the 2014 BRIT awards were as follows: Daft Punk won Best International Group, Nile Rodgers accepted the award on their behalf; David Bowie won Best Male Solo Artist and had Kate Moss accept it on his behalf, after reading a strange message about rabbits, Venus, Mars and Scotland; Lorde won Best International Female Solo Artist;¬†Arctic Monkeys won British Group and British Album of the Year, with Alex Turner delivering the acceptance speech of all acceptance speeches.
