Arcade Fire Add Dan Deacon, Kid Koala to Massive Upcoming Tour

arcade-fire-2014-tour

Over the past few months, Arcade Fire have rehearsed and prepared for their extensive upcoming tour, surely ironing out the kinks for the live version of their latest album, ReflektorIn a few days, they’ll play a show in Haiti, and then gear-up to embark across the world in what’s sure to be a sold-out run of arenas and festivals alike. Now, they’ve given us a preview of what exactly is in store…

Arcade Fire 2014 Tour

The openers for the first set of shows give us a pretty good insight into the atmosphere Arcade Fire envision; Kid Koala is a renowned DJ with a penchant for performing in a koala suit (hence the name), and Dan Deacon is a musical madman known for his crazed and eccentric live performances. The latter has become a master at throwing rave parties in small venues, so it will be very interesting to see how that translates to the expanses of, say, the KFC! YUM Center.

While that remains to be seen, this Arcade Fire tour promises a slight departure from the cathartic arena-rock of the past, and will likely resemble something closer to a feel-good dance party. Dates and tour preview video are below.
