The bromance between Jimmy Fallon and Bruce Springsteen hit new levels last night. Fallon makes no bones about his feelings for The Boss, and with his new album High Hopes hitting stores yesterday, it only makes sense that Springsteen would be the guest of honor on Fallon’s show.
Bruce Springsteen on Jimmy Fallon
Springsteen was the only guest on the show last night, which left plenty of time for him and Fallon to goof around. The two, both dressed in 80s-era Springsteen garb, performed a version of “Born To Run” that took a few shots at New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s recent Fort Lee scandal. The Boss sang, “I really got to take a leak. But I can’t. I’m stuck in Governor Chris Christie’s’ Fort Lee traffic jam.”
Last night’s show also featured a sit-down interview that touched on everything from Miley Cyrus to Springsteen’s pre-show rituals. Later, Fallon took some time to ask a few questions from fans via Twitter.
Joined by his E Street Band, Springsteen performed the songs “High Hopes” and “Heaven’s Wall” off his new album. Check out the videos below, and buy tickets to see Springsteen live here.
