College Stadium Review: Bank of Colorado Arena

The Northern Colorado Bears have been to the NCAA Tournament one time. That was in 2011 when they lost to San Diego State in the Round of 64. They have been to the CIT also, that was in 2014. Can the Bears get back to the postseason in 2016? Come out to Bank of Colorado Arena and see.

Bank of Colorado Arena

It may look a lot like a Big Box store from the outside, but on the inside it is a basketball gym.

The Bank of Colorado Arena opened in 1975 and seats 3100 fans. It may look a lot like a Big Box store from the outside, but on the inside it is a basketball gym. All the seats are close to the court and close to the action. The gym is a no frills place to watch a basketball game. You can enjoy your favorite concession items such as nachos, pretzels, popcorn, nachos and Pepsi products while taking in the great action on the court.
The Bears play in the Big Sky Conference, which includes Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, North Dakota, Northern Arizona, Portland State, Cal State Sacramento, Southern Utah and Weber State. These teams will be trying to get to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Big Sky Tournament. These teams will also be trying to win the regular season championship to ensure them a postseason bid.
The Bank of Colorado Arena is old school college basketball. If you are going to watch the game and don’t care about frills, this place is for you. Don’t miss out on the Bears games this season.
