College Stadium Review: Bob Carpenter Center

The Delaware Blue Hens will be trying to get back to the NCAA Tournament this season for the sixth time since 1992 and the second time in three seasons.  Delaware not only has been to six NCAA Tournaments, but also the NIT in 2000 and the CBI in 2012.

“The Bob” is one any basketball fan will enjoy.

The Blue Hens play their home games at the Bob Carpenter Center that opened in 1992 and sets 5000 fans. “The Bob” has a great college basketball atmosphere with some of the best food in the game. All the seats are close to the floor so you can enjoy your favorite game grub with a great view of the action!
The Bob Carpenter Center concessions include Polish sausages, meatball subs, barbecue pork, beef and chicken, ice cream, pizza and Pepsi products. The students keep the place loud as they cheer on the Blue Hens. Delaware is a great college basketball program in both men’s and women’s hoops and a game at “The Bob” is one any basketball fan will enjoy.
The Blue Hens play in the CAA, which sends its postseason tournament winner to the NCAA Tournament. The home schedule this season will include FDU, Bradley, USF, James Madison, UNC Wilmington, Towson, Northeastern, Drexel, Hofstra, Charleston and more.
