College Stadium Review: Cameron Hall

Virginia Military Institute has been to the NCAA Tournament three times in school history (1964, 1976 and 1977). Twice the Keydets have gone to the Sweet Sixteen (1976 and 1977) and once to the Elite Eight (1976). VMI’s most recent postseason trip was in 2014 when they went to the CIT semifinals. Will the Keydets get back to the postseason in 2016? Come out to Cameron Hall and find out.

Cameron Hall

VMI is part of the Southern Conference which includes teams such as UT Chattanooga, The Citadel, East Tennessee State, Furman, Mercer, Samford, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina and Wofford.

Cameron Hall opened in 1981 and seats 5800 fans. Since the arena opened, the Keydets have won over 70% of the games played there. The student section is one of the best and loudest in all of college basketball, making Cameron Hall a tough place for the visiting teams. The seats all have a great view with ample leg room and you’ll enjoy your favorite concession items such as popcorn, pretzels, pizza and kettle chips while you watch a great game.
VMI is part of the Southern Conference which includes teams such as UT Chattanooga, The Citadel, East Tennessee State, Furman, Mercer, Samford, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina and Wofford. These teams will be trying to win the SoCon Tournament to get to the NCAA Tournament, but will also be trying to win the regular season championship to assure themselves a postseason berth in one of the other tournaments. So the action will be intense both on and off the floor all season long.
You don’t want to miss out on a great college basketball experience by visiting Cameron Hall this season.
