College Stadium Review: Cassell Coliseum

The Virginia Tech Hokies have been to the NCAA Tournament eight times in their school history. The most recent trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2007. They have made one trip to the Sweet Sixteen and the Elite Eight (1967). Can the Hokies get back to the Big Dance in 2016? Come out to Cassell Coliseum and find out.

You don’t want to miss out on any of the great college basketball action at Cassell Coliseum this season.

The Hokies have also been to the NIT 12 times in school history. Virginia Tech has been to Madison Square Garden for the semifinals three times (1973, 1984, and 1995) and won the championship twice (1973 and 1995). Some of the greats to have played for Va Tech include Bimbo Coles, Dell Curry and Allen Bristow. Is there another NBA star on this year’s roster?
The Hokies play at the Cassell Coliseum, which opened in 1961 and holds almost 10,000 fans. All the seats are close to the court and you can enjoy your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, pizza, shaved ice, cheese steaks, milk shakes and more. The students keep the atmosphere at a high level as they root on the Hokies.
The Hokies are part of the best conference in college basketball, the ACC. Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, NC State, North Carolina, Duke, Louisville, Boston College, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Wake Forest are on the Hokies schedule and many of them will be coming to Cassell Coliseum this season.
