The Murray State Racers have been to the NCAA Tournament 15 times in school history, the most recent is 2012 when they advanced to the Round of 32. The Racers have been to the NIT eight times, including last season when they made it to the quarterfinals.
The Racers play at CFSB Center which opened in 1998 and holds over 8600 fans. The arena is a nice, modern facility with all of the amenities of a top notch college basketball facility. All the seats have a great view of the court so you can enjoy all the action with your favorite concession items such as pizza, subs, hot dogs, candy, sodas and more.
The CFSB Center is often packed for Racers home games and the students keep the place lively. In Kentucky, college basketball rules the state and Murray State is probably the number three team behind Kentucky and Louisville. They take their basketball seriously at CFSB Center.
The Racers are part of the Ohio Valley Conference which includes teams such as Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, SE Missouri State, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee Martin.
These teams are trying to get to the NCAA Tournament by winning the OVC Tournament but also want to secure at least an NIT bid by winning the regular season championship as well. The action will be intense this season at the CFSB Center so bring the whole family out to a Racers game. Do not miss out.
