The Portland Pilots have been to the NCAA Tournament twice in their history. The most recent trip was in 1996. The Pilots have been to the CIT four times, including last season. Chiles Center

The fans, pep band and staff keep the atmosphere upbeat like you would expect at a college basketball game.

The Chiles Center opened in 1984 and it seats nearly 5000 fans. All of the seats are close to the court and the concessions are among the best anywhere in the conference. You can enjoy the old favorites such as popcorn, hot dogs, ice cream, sodas, etc. or you can get an all-you-can eat pasta meal to enjoy on the second level concourse.
The fans, pep band and staff keep the atmosphere upbeat like you would expect at a college basketball game. Chiles Center was renovated in 2010 and is now one of the best arenas in the conference with its video boards and chair back seating.
The Pilots are part of the West Coast Conference, which includes such teams as Gonzaga, BYU, St. Mary’s, Loyola Marymount, San Francisco, Pacific, San Diego, Santa Clara, and Pepperdine. These teams will be trying to win the WCC Tournament to get the automatic NCAA Tournament bid, but also win enough regular season games to earn an at-large bid. Also, the regular season champion is assured no worse than a bid to the NIT. So the games at Chiles Center have a lot riding on the outcome.
You do not want to miss any of the action this season at Chiles Center for Portland basketball. Bring the family out to as many games as you can this season.
