College Stadium Review: College Park Center

The Texas-Arlington Mavericks basketball team has been to one NCAA Tournament. That was in 2008 and they lost to Memphis in the Round of 64. That loss was avenged this season just before Thanksgiving when the Mavericks pulled off an early season shocker over the Tigers. Is this a sign they may be an NCAA Tournament team in 2016? Come out to College Park Center and see.

College Park Center

The Mavs play in the Sun Belt Conference which includes teams such as Appalachian State, Arkansas State, UA-Little Rock, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, South Alabama, Texas State, and Troy

The Mavericks have also been to the NIT twice (1981 and 2012) and the CIT once (2013). They were eliminated in the first round of all three tournaments. Will the Mavericks get their first postseason win in 2016?
The Mavericks play at the College Park Center which opened in 2012 and holds 7000 fans. This is a state of the art facility where you will sit comfortably with a great view of the court. The concessions are top notch as well with selections such as popcorn, hot dogs, pizza, and sodas while you watch the game.
The Mavs play in the Sun Belt Conference which includes teams such as Appalachian State, Arkansas State, UA-Little Rock, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, South Alabama, Texas State, and Troy. These teams will be trying to win the Sun Belt Conference Tournament to get the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. They will also be trying to win the regular season championship to earn a bid to one of the other postseason tournaments should they not win the Sun Belt Tournament. So the action will be intense all season long when these teams come in to College Park Center.
You do not want to miss any of the great college basketball action in this sparkling new arena. Bring the kids out as often as you can.
