The Morehead State Eagles have been to the NCAA Tournament seven times in their history, the most recent in 2011 when they made the Round of 32 after beating Louisville 62-61. The Eagles have also been twice (2010, 2014). The 2010 team advanced to the quarterfinals.
The Eagles play their home games at Ellis T. Johnson which opened in 1981 and seats 6500 Eagles fans. Every seat is close to the court and you will enjoy your favorite concession items such as chili dogs, nachos, BBQ sandwiches and more while watching the action. The Ellis T. Johnson Arena atmosphere is great, especially when the Eagles are playing well. This is after all the state of Kentucky, where college basketball is king.
The Eagles play in the Ohio Valley Conference, which includes teams such as Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Murray State, SE Missouri State, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee Martin, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State.
These teams will be competing for the automatic NCAA Tournament bid by winning the OVC Tournament. The OVC regular season champ will also get to the postseason. Bring the family out to the Eagles games this season at Ellis T Johnson Arena. Eagles basketball is a great time for all.
