The Tigers have played in the CIT twice in recent seasons (2012 and 2013), going out in the first round both times.  If they don’t make the NCAA Tournament, perhaps they can get to one of the others.

Tennessee State is part of the Ohio Valley Conference with teams such as Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Murray State, SE Missouri State, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee Martin. These teams will be battling to win the OVC Tournament and the automatic bid to the Big Dance that comes along with it.
The inner of the regular season will be automatically invited to one of the postseason tournaments as well, so the action will be intense all season long at Gentry Center.
Don’t miss out on the excitement of Tigers basketball this season at Gentry Center. Bring the whole family for the OVC hoops action.
