College Stadium Review: Holmes Convocation Center

The Appalachian State basketball team will be trying to get to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in school history in 2016. The last time the Mountaineers made it to the Big Dance was in 2000, so it has been a while.

Holmes Convocation Center

The Holmes Center sits in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains at exactly 3333 feet above sea level.

App State now takes their team to the Sun Belt Conference for the upcoming season which means new rivalries will be in store for the fans this season. The Mountaineers will be hosting Georgia State, Georgia Southern, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, South Alabama, Troy and all the other Sun Belt Conference schools.
The Holmes Convocation Center opened in 2000 and holds over 8300 die hard Mountaineers fans for their home games. All the seats are great with arm rests and a close view of the court. You can enjoy your favorite concession items in comfort as the Mountaineers try for the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
The Holmes Center sits in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains at exactly 3333 feet above sea level. How many places can you make a three pointer at 3333 feet? The outside is so beautiful it is a shame you have to go inside for the game. But once inside you will see that the Holmes Center is also easy on the eyes with their black and gold seats and the conference championship banners hanging from the ceiling. This year the Mountaineers will try to add the Sun Belt to that list and get a bid to the Big Dance.
