College Stadium Review: Island Federal Credit Union Arena

The Stony Brook Seawolves have not yet made it to the NCAA Tournament. However, in recent years they have been knocking on the door. Will this be the year the Seawolves get to the Big Dance? Come out to the Island Federal Credit Union Arena and find out.

Island Federal Credit Union Arena

The action at the sparkling new IFCU Arena will be great all season long.

The Seawolves have been to the NIT three times (2010, 2012 and 2013). Their best showing was in 2013 when they advanced to the second round after beating UMass in the first round. The Seawolves have been to the CBI the past two seasons, losing in the first round each time. So since 2010, Stony Brook has made it to the postseason every year but 2011. They are on the verge of getting over the hump, otherwise known as Albany who has knocked them out of the conference tournament championship game the past two seasons in a couple of nail biters.
Stony Brook has been playing in the Island Federal Credit Union Arena since it opened in 2014. It seats 4000 fans and they are all in on Seawolves basketball. All the seats are comfortable and close to the floor and you can enjoy your favorite concession items such as Italian sausages, grilled chicken sandwiches, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, onion rings and more while you watch a great game.
The Seawolves are part of the America East Conference which includes teams such as Albany, Binghamton, Hartford, Maine, UMBC, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire and Vermont. These teams will be trying to get to the NCAA Tournament by winning the AEC Tournament at the end of the season. They will also be trying to win the regular season championship to guarantee themselves a spot in the postseason. So the action at the sparkling new IFCU Arena will be great all season long.
Bring the kids out to as many Seawolves games as you can this season.
