College Stadium Review: Jack Stephens Center

The Trojans of Arkansas Little Rock play at Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock. They moved into their new arena in 2005 with seating for 5600 as they moved up into the Sun Belt Conference hoping to build on the success they enjoyed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. UALR went to the NCAA Tournament in 1986, 1989 and 1990, reaching the Round of 32 in 1986. The Trojans also went to the NIT in 1987 and 1988, going all the way to Madison Square Garden in 1987.

The most recent trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Trojans came in 2011 when they won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship. Jack Stephens Arena has a great small college basketball arena with two nice video boards and great views of the court from every seat.

The Sun Belt Conference is known for exciting basketball and UALR is one of their top programs. With a NIT Semifinal and an NCAA Tournament victory in their past, the Trojans could be a sleeper program ready to do big things. You can be at Jack Stephens Center enjoying your favorite concessions such as Ben and Jerry’s ice cream while watching all the action.

This season’s home games will include teams such as Troy, Georgia State, Appalachian State, Louisiana Lafayette and Louisiana Monroe.
