JMU Convocation Center

The JMU Convocation Center opened in 1982 and seats over 7,000 fans. Bring a seat cushion with you because this is old school basketball here on wooden bleachers. All the seats are close to the court so you will have a great view of the action. Don’t forget to hit the concession stands for your favorite items such as pizza, popcorn, nachos, pretzels, hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches along with Coke products as you enjoy the game.

JMU is part of the Colonial Athletic Association which includes teams such as College of Charleston, Delaware, Drexel, Elon, Hofstra, Towson, Northeastern, UNC Wilmington, and William & Mary. These teams will all be coming to JMU Convocation Center this season. The winner of the CAA postseason tournament will earn the automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament while the regular season champ will earn a berth to one of the other tournaments.
