College Stadium Review: John E Worthen Arena

In Muncie Indiana, the heart of Hoosier Hoops Hysteria, is the John E Worthen Arena, the home court of the Ball State Cardinals. Ball State is part of the Mid-American Conference which includes Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Kent State, Buffalo, Ohio and many other great schools.

John E Worthen Arena

John E Worthen Arena opened in 1991 and holds 11,500 fans.

The Cardinals will be trying to gain the automatic NCAA Tournament berth by winning the MAC Tournament this season, but in the regular season they will be competing for an automatic NIT or NCAA Tournament berth by winning the conference title. The Cardinals have been to the NCAA Tournament seven times and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in 1990. Their most recent NCAA bid was in 2000.
John E Worthen Arena opened in 1991 and holds 11,500 fans. While enjoying a great college basketball game you can also enjoy great concession items such as bratwurst and chili cheese dogs. The Strip near campus is a great place to find a pregame and postgame party. Try Heorot Pub and Draught House for a fine selection of beers and food.
Cardinals basketball at John E Worthen Arena is a great day out for you and your friends or family. The MAC has great basketball tradition which includes Ball State’s run to the 1990 Sweet Sixteen when they lost by only two points to the eventual NCAA champion UNLV.
Could this season be the next great Cards run to the Big Dance? Be there to find out.
