College Stadium Review: John M. Belk Arena

The Davidson Wildcats are yet another great college basketball program out of North Carolina. The Wildcats have been to 13 NCAA Tournaments, seven of those coming in the 2000s. They are best known for being the college team of Stephen Curry, the current NBA MVP and World Champion with the Golden State Warriors.

The Wildcats play their home games at John M. Belk Arena, which opened in 1989. It seats over 5200 fans for Wildcats home games.

 

The Wildcats have advanced to the Sweet Sixteen four times; the most recent in 2008 when Curry was their star player. They went to the Elite Eight that year for the third time in school history. Davidson has also been to six NIT Tournaments, five since 1994 and one CBI in 2011.
The Wildcats play their home games at John M. Belk Arena, which opened in 1989. It seats over 5200 fans for Wildcats home games. The Davidson pep band and students keep the atmosphere at a high level. Every seat is close to the action and the action on the floor is among the nation’s best.

Davidson is part of the Atlantic 10 Conference, which is one of college basketball’s best. Home games this year will include UCF, College of Charleston, Morehead, Duquesne, George Mason, UMass, VCU, Richmond, George Washington and more.
