Utah plays at the Jon M Huntsman Center which opened in 1969 and seats 15,000 fans. This is not only historic because it hosts one of college basketball’s historic programs, but also because it may have been the host of the game that made both college basketball and the NBA what it is today. The Huntsman Center is the site of the 1979 Final Four which featured the Championship Game between Magic Johnson and Michigan State against Larry Bird and Indiana State.
There are no bad seats at the Huntsman Center. You will be stepping in to one of college basketball’s most memory filled arena and you will enjoy a great view of the court no matter where you sit. You will also be loving your favorite concession items such as popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, pizza, chicken sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches and more while you watch the game.
The Utes play in one of college basketball’s best conferences, the PAC 12. Teams such as Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, California, Stanford, USC, UCLA and Colorado will be visiting the Jon M. Huntsman Center this season. Many of these teams will find themselves in the NCAA Tournament at season’s end. Will the Utes be one of them?
The PAC 12 traditionally sends four to six teams to the NCAA Tournament each year. They normally send several more to the NIT, CBI and CIT as well. There will be a lot of teams you will see this season playing in the postseason. Many of these players will be playing in the NBA in the future. You can watch them before they become famous.
You will want to get out to the biggest arena in the PAC 12 to watch great college basketball as often as you can this season. Don’t miss out on Utes Basketball in 2016.
