College Stadium Review: Knapp Center

The Drake Bulldogs have been to the NCAA Tournament four times in school history, the most recent being in 2008.  They other tree time were between 19-71 when the Bulldogs went to three in a row and advanced to the Elite Eight all three of those trips. In 1969, the Bulldogs went to the Final Four. These are referred to as the Glory Days.

Drake is part of the Missouri Valley Conference, which has great basketball tradition.

 

The Bulldogs have also been to three NITs and two CITs (2009, 2012). Some fo the great Bulldogs players include Jeff Halliburton, Lewis Lloyd, Willie Carter and Adam Emmenecker. Who is the next great Drake Bulldog? Come out to Knapp Center this season and find out.
Knapp Center opened in 1992. It holds a little over 7000 Bulldogs fans for home games. This means every seat is close to the action, but it is large enough to create a great college basketball atmosphere. You can enjoy your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, sausages, pizza, pretzels and a walking taco while taking in the great atmosphere at Knapp Center.
Drake is part of the Missouri Valley Conference, which has great basketball tradition. Recently Wichita State has carried the banner for the MVC with some great teams.  This year’s home schedule for the Bulldogs will include the Shockers on February 9th. Other home games include DePaul, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois State, Indiana State, Missouri State, Bradley and more.
