College Stadium Review: Mini Dome

The full name of the home arena for East Tennessee State basketball is the Mountain State Health Alliance Athletic Center. So the students refer to it as the Mini Dome for short.  When the dome was built in 1977, it was for the football team so basketball games at the Mini Dome leave fans with plenty of elbowroom.

The Buccaneers play in the SoCon, which includes Chattanooga, The Citadel, Furman, Mercer, Samford, VMI, Western Carolina, UNG Greensboro and Wofford.

ETSU has been to the NCAA Tournament nine times, the most recent being in 2010. In 1992, the Bucs advanced to the Round of 32 and in 1968 made it to the Sweet Sixteen.  The Bucs also have two NIT trips and two CIT bids as well (2011, 2014).

The SoCon will send its conference tournament champions to the NCAA Tournament and regular season winner to the NIT unless the NCAA chooses to invite them. With these great teams coming into the Mini Dome this season, you will not want to miss a minute of the action.
You can enjoy your favorite concession items such as Pizza, nachos, pretzels, popcorn and hot chocolate while taking in great Buccaneers basketball action. Bucs basketball is a great family outing, so bring the kids and have a fantastic time.
