They have been to the Sweet Sixteen six times, the Elite Eight twice (1956 and 1957) and the Final Four once (1956). The Mustangs have been to the NIT three times, the most recent in 2014 and the CIT in 2011 when they advanced to the semifinals.

Moody Coliseum

Moody Coliseum got a 40 million dollar facelift in 2013, turning it into one of the more modern facilities in the American Athletic Conference

SMU plays at Moody Coliseum, which opened in 1956 and seats 7000 fans.  Although Moody has been around for a long time, do not be fooled. It got a 40 million dollar facelift in 2013, turning it into one of the more modern facilities in the American Athletic Conference. LED screens, a wide concourse level, luxury boxes and your favorite concessions make Moody Coliseum a great place to watch college basketball. You can enjoy specialty burgers, deluxe nachos, hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, brisket, pizza and much more while watching the great AAC action.
The AAC includes many of college basketball’s elite programs such as UConn, Memphis, Houston, UCF, USF, Tulsa, Temple, Tulane, East Carolina, and Cincinnati. These teams have combined for five national titles and a slew of Final Four appearances. You cannot get a much better schedule of games than you will at Moody Coliseum.
You will love the atmosphere, as the students at the Moody Coliseum make sure the Mustangs have a home court advantage. You do not want to miss out on a chance to watch a great college basketball game in a great seat with concession options that are tough to beat.
