College Stadium Review: Murphy Center

The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders have been to the NCAA Tournament seven times is school history, the most recent in 2013. Their biggest win in school history came in the 1982 NCAA Tournament when they knocked out national power Kentucky 50-44. In 1989, the Blue Raiders knocked out Florida State 97-83. The Blue Raiders have played in the NIT three times and have a 4-3 record. In 1988, they advanced to the quarterfinals. The Raiders have also been in the CIT twice, in 2010 and 2015.

Murphy Center

With great teams like these coming into Murphy Center, you do not want to miss out on the action.

MTSU has been plying at the Murphy Center since it opened in 1973. Murphy Center holds over 11,000 fans for Blue Raiders basketball. The fans there keep the noise level high for their team as they take their college basketball seriously. Every seat has a great view of the court and you will enjoy your favorite concession items such as nachos, pizza, popcorn, hot dogs and more, while taking in a great game.
The Blue Raiders play in Conference USA, which means games against teams such as Charlotte, Texas El Paso, North Texas, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Rice, Southern Mississippi, Marshall UT San Antonio and Rice. With great teams like these coming into Murphy Center, you do not want to miss out on the action.
Conference USA has great tradition when it comes to basketball. MTSU will be looking to write some more in 2016. Do not miss out on the exciting basketball at Murphy Center.
