College Stadium Review: Prather Coliseum

The Northwestern State basketball team has been to three NCAA Tournaments in their history. The most recent was in 2013. In 2006, the deacons pulled off a big upset of #3 seed Iowa in the Round of 64, their best NCAA showing to date. The Demons have also been to the CIT in 2015.

The students and cheerleaders keep the noise level at what you would expect from a great college basketball crowd.

The Demons play their home games at the Prather Coliseum, which opened in 1964 and seats 3400 fans. Every seat is close to the court and you can enjoy all your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, nachos, candy, popcorn and more while watching a great game.
The students and cheerleaders keep the noise level at what you would expect from a great college basketball crowd. The Demons fans are behind the team and they are awaiting the day their team gets back to the Big Dance and pulls their next big upset.
Northwestern State is in the Southland Conference which includes schools such as Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, Lamar, McNeese State,  New Orleans, Nicholls State, Sam Houston State, SE Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M Corpus Christi. These teams will be trying to win the NCAA Tournament automatic bid by winning the Southland Conference Tournament. The regular season champion will also get a bid to the postseason as well. So the action at the Prather Coliseum will be intense this season.
