The Loyola Greyhounds have been to the NCAA Tournament twice in school history (1994 and 2012). They have also been to the CIT once (2013) where they reached the quarterfinals.

The fans are loud and proud and engaged in the game as they root on the Greyhounds in their quest to reach a third NCAA Tournament.

The Greyhounds play in the Patriot League, which includes teams such as American, Navy, Army, Bucknell, Boston U, Holy Cross, Colgate, Lehigh and Lafayette. These teams will be trying to secure the automatic NCAA Tournament berth by winning the Patriot League Tournament. Winning the regular season championship would also secure a postseason tournament bid for the champion as well
G. G. Smith, the son of long time college basketball coach Tubby Smith, coaches the Greyhounds. He is now in his third season as Greyhounds coach. The Reitz Arena opened up in 1984 and holds over 2100 fans, which is big enough to create a great atmosphere, but small enough so that no matter where you sit you will have a seat close to the court. You can enjoy your favorite concession items such as popcorn, candy, chips and sodas while you watch the action.

The fans are loud and proud and engaged in the game as they root on the Greyhounds in their quest to reach a third NCAA Tournament. With those great home games on the schedule, you will not want to miss out on any of the excitement. Bring the kids out to as many Greyhounds games as you can this season.
