The Vermont Catamounts have been to the NCAA Tournament five times in school history (2003, 2005, 2005, 2010, and 2012). Their best showing was in 2005 when they advanced to the Round of 32. Will the Catamounts make it back to the Big Dance this season? Come out to Patrick Gymnasium and see.
Vermont has also been to the NIT three times (2007, 2011 and 2014) and also the CBI three times (2009, 2013 and 2015) In 2009 they advanced to the quarterfinals and in 2015 they went to the semifinals.
Patrick Gymnasium opened in 1963 and seats over 3000 fans. It is the perfect size for a great college basketball game. Patrick Gym has nothing but great seats and you will enjoy your view while also enjoying your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, sandwiches, candy, sodas and more while watching a great game. The Patrick Gym is an “old school” venue with bleacher seats that will remind you of going to a game at your old high school.
Vermont is part of the America East Conference, which includes teams such as Albany, Binghamton, Hartford, Maine, UMBC, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, and Stony Brook. These teams will be trying to win the AEC Tournament to gain the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. They will also be looking to win the regular season championship which comes with an automatic postseason bid. The action will be intense all season when these teams come to Patrick Gymnasium.
