San Jose State plays in the Mountain West Conference with some of college basketball’s best teams such as Air Force, Boise State, Fresno State, Colorado State, Nevada, UNLV, New Mexico, San Diego State, Utah State and Wyoming. These teams will be trying to win the MWC Tournament to secure the automatic NCAA bid, but also will be trying to win as many games as possible to put themselves in position for an at-large berth if they cannot win the tourney. History tells us that some of them will get in and then do some damage.
