The Fresno State Bulldogs have made five NCAA Tournament appearances in school history, although the 2000 appearance has since been vacated. The Bulldogs best showing at the NCAA was in 1982 when they went all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. Fresno State has also been to the NIT nine times and has a 14-9 record in the tournament. Their best showing was in 1983 when they made it all the way to the championship game in Madison Square Garden where they lost to DePaul.
Fresno State plays their home games at Save Mart Center, which opened in 2003. This arena holds over 15,000 fans and is one of the biggest and newest facilities at a “non-Power Five” school.
