Schollmaier Arena

The Frogs are part of one of college basketball’s best conferences, the Big 12.

TCU has been to the Sweet Sixteen four times (1952, 1953, 1959 and 1968). In 1968, the Horned Frogs went to the Elite Eight. That is their best showing. TCU has been to the NIT six times in their history. Three times they went to the quarterfinals, the most recent in 2005. The Frogs most recent trip to the postseason was in 2012 when they went to the CBI.
The Schollmaier Arena opened in 1961 and it seats over 7200 fans of the purple. The arena is newly renovated, so a game with the Horned frogs will be like going to a brand new arena this year. You won’t quite know what to expect until you make the trip. What you do know is you will have a great seat, close to the court and great concessions such as fried chicken, fajitas, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and Pepsi products.
The Frogs are part of one of college basketball’s best conferences, the Big 12. This means Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas and Texas Tech will all be coming to Schollmaier Arena this season. These teams will be trying to win enough games to get to the NCAA Tournament and if history is any indication, about half will be there.
Don’t miss out on a chance to see these great games this season. Come out and support TCU basketball. Bring the whole family out to the games.
