SIU Arena

SIU has been to the NCAA Tournament 10 times in school history. The most recent trip was in 2007, when they advanced to the Sweet Sixteen for the second time in their history.

SIU has been to the NIT nine times in school history. Their best runs in that tournament? How about 1967 when they won the championship? They also went to the quarterfinals in 1991.
The SIU Arena opened in 1964, but do not be fooled. It underwent a huge renovation in 2010, making it an almost brand new venue. Whether it is the new facelift or whether these people just love basketball, they pack the place and they are loud and into the game. This arena is a must visit for the college basketball fan.
You will enjoy a great seat with some great food and entertainment at the SIU Arena. The concession stands include all you game day favorites including popcorn, peanuts, and a large souvenir soda.
The Salukis play in the Missouri Valley Conference, which includes Bradley, Drake, Evansville, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola Chicago, Missouri State, Northern Iowa and Wichita State. These are some of college basketballs best teams.
You cannot go wrong attending as many Salukis games as you can. Bring the whole family out this season to the SIU Arena.
