Lehigh has been to the NCAA Tournament five times in school history with one win. But what a win it was when they pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history as a #15 seed. The Hawks beat the Duke Blue Devils in the Round of 64 in 2012, a few hours after another #2 seed Missouri went down to #15 Norfolk State. Since no #16 seed has ever won a game against a #1 seed, this was one of the biggest days of shockers in tournament history. Beating Missouri is a big deal for a small school, but it pales in comparison to knocking off one of college basketball’s greatest programs.
Lehigh plays their home games at Stabler Arena which opened in 1979. Stabler Arena seats 6000 Mountain Hawks fans for home games which means there are no bad seats. You will enjoy your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, pizza, sausage, ice cream and more while you watch a great college basketball game.
The Mountain Hawks play in the Patriot League which includes teams such as American U, Army, Navy, Lafayette, Boston U, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross and Loyola MD. The winner of the Patriot League Tournament will earn the automatic NCAA Tournament bid. The regular season conference champion will also earn a postseason berth. The action to get these bids will be intense all season long. Do not miss a chance to see who might be this year’s Cinderella team in the Big Dance!
