The Rainbow Warriors of Hawaii have been to the NCAA Tournament four times in school history. Their most recent trip to the Big Dance was in 2002. They have also been to the NIT eight times, the most recent in 2004, and have an all time record of 10-8 in those tournaments. They have been to the quarterfinals five times and have never been knocked out in the first round. The Rainbow Warriors have also been to the CIT twice (2011 and 2013). The Stan Sheriff Center has been the home of Hawaii basketball since it opened in 1994. Over 10,000 college basketball fans can watch their team play on the island. The fans are really into the game and they keep the atmosphere at a fever pitch as they cheer on the team.
Every seat is a great one at the Stan Sheriff Center and the food choices are like none other in college basketball. The choices of concessions at the Warriors games include wraps, teriyaki burgers, chicken strips domestic, craft beers and many more tasty treats.
Hawaii is part of the Big West Conference, which has a great reputation as a basketball conference. Teams such as Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara will be visiting the Stan Sheriff Center this season in search of a bid to the NCAA Tournament or the NIT.
