College Stadium Review: Taco Bell Arena

When thinking about the Boise State Broncos, the first image that comes to mind is their football team winning big games on a blue field in the freezing cold of Albertson’s Stadium. But if you’ve not been paying much attention to the Broncos basketball team, you’ve missed out on a really good team there too. The Broncos have been to seven NCAA Tournaments in their school history, three of them coming since 2008 including last season.

The Broncos play their home games at the Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho. The arena opened in 1982 and it seats over 12,000 Broncos fans for home games. That is a fairly big capacity for a mid-major team. To give you some perspective, the Florida Gators who play in the SEC and has been to the Elite Eight seven times since 2006, play in the 12,000 seat O’Connell Center. So the Broncos have the potential of building this program into something huge. Two NCAA bids in the last three seasons means that it is already happening.

Boise State plays in the Mountain West Conference which has gained a reputation as a great basketball league. In fact, many consider the MWC more a “Major” than a “Mid-Major” so when you go to watch the Broncos at Taco Bell Arena, you are seeing the best in college basketball.

This season’s Broncos home games at Taco Bell Arena include Northern Arizona, Loyola Marymount, Oregon, Bradley, UC Davis, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, UNLV and more.

Do not miss a minute of the Broncos season at Taco Bell Arena in 2015-16. Broncos basketball is great family fun!
