The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have played in the NCAA Tournament five times in their school history, the most recent in 1991. The Bulldogs have made the Round of 32 three times and the Sweet Sixteen in 1985. La Tech has played in the NIT nine times, including the last three. In those tournaments, the Bulldogs advanced to the quarterfinals three times, including 2014 and 2015 and the semifinals at Madison Square Garden in 1986. In 2010, the Bulldogs made the quarterfinals of the CIT as well.
The Bulldogs are the school that produced the second leading scorer in the history of the NBA in Karl Malone. Other Bulldogs that have played in the NBA include Paul Millsap and P. J. Brown.
The Thomas Assembly Center is the home of the Bulldogs since 1982. It seats 8000 Bulldogs fans for their home games and everyone has a great view of the action on the court. You can enjoy your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, chili cheese nachos, popcorn, peanuts, Pepsi products and more as you take in a great college basketball game.
Louisiana Tech plays in Conference USA which includes great teams such as UAB, FAU, FIU, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Charlotte, North Texas, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, UTEP, UTSA, and Western Kentucky. These teams will all be trying to get to the NCAA Tournament by either winning the C-USA Tournament or by impressing the selection committee enough to earn an at-large bid. They will also be trying to get a bid to either the NIT, CBI or CIT if they cannot make the Big Dance.
The action at the Thomas Center will be great all season with these teams coming in to face the Bulldogs. Bring the kids out to the games this year. Everyone will enjoy the great college basketball at the Thomas Center.
