College Stadium Review: Trask Coliseum

The UNC Wilmington Seahawks have been to the NCAA Tournament four times in school history, advancing to the Round of 32 once (2002). The most recent trip to the Big Dance for the Seahawks was 2006. Will they get back in 2016? Come out to Trask Coliseum this season and find out.

These teams will be fighting for the conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament berth by winning the CAA Tournament.

The Seahawks have also been to the NIT twice (1998 and 2001) and the CIT once (2015) Will the Seahawks get back to the postseason for the second straight year? With a senior laden roster this year things look good for a return to postseason action.
The Trask Coliseum opened in 1977 and seats over 6000 fans for the home games. There are no bad seats in the house and you will enjoy your favorites from the concession stands such as pizza, popcorn, hot dogs and sodas while watching the Seahawks play. The students and fans make sure it gets really loud in the Trask Coliseum to give their Seahawks a great home court advantage.
UNCW plays in the Colonial Athletic Association with teams such as College of Charleston, Delaware, Drexel, Elon, Hofstra, James Madison, Northeastern, Towson and William & Mary. These teams will be fighting for the conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament berth by winning the CAA Tournament. But, there is another postseason bid on the line for the winner of the regular season title. So the action for these conference games will be heated all season long.
