College Stadium Review: UC Riverside Student Recreation Center

The UC Riverside Highlanders have been to the NCAA Tournament at the D-II level 17 times. Will this be the year they make it to the Big Dance for the first time? Come out to the Student Recreation Center this season to find out.

Student Recreation Center

UC Riverside is part of the Big West Conference, which means teams such as Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Hawaii, Long Beach State, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara.

The SRC opened in 1994 and has over 3000 seats. All of the seats are close to the court and you’ll enjoy a great view while also enjoying all your favorites from the concession stands such as hot dogs, nachos and Pepsi products while watching a great game.
This is old school basketball here, so you will want to bring your seat cushion and be prepared to stomp your feet and create a lot of noise. The students will help you keep the energy high as they root the Highlanders on to victory!

These teams will be trying to get to the postseason by winning the regular season championship. The ultimate prize though is the tournament championship, which nets the winner an automatic trip to the Big Dance. Can the Highlanders get that bid?
