College Stadium Review: USF Sun Dome

The USF Bulls have been to the NCAA Tournament three times in their history. The most recent was in 2012 when they made it to the Round of 32, their highest finish in the tournament.

With teams such as UConn, Memphis, Houston, and Cincinnati, there are many trips to the Final Four among them.

The Bulls have also been to the NIT eight times in their history. Their best finish was in 1995 when they made it to the quarterfinals. The Bulls have sent some players to the NBA in their history. These include players such as Chucky Atkins, Curtis Kitchen, Dominique Jones, Solomon Jones and Jim Grandholm.
The USF Sun Dome opened in 1980 and holds over 10,000 fans for the Bulls home games. There are no bad seats in the Sun Dome and you can enjoy yours while sampling the many great concession items available such as popcorn, burgers, nachos, hot dogs, sodas and beer! Yes, they do have beer at the Bulls games.
USF plays in the American Athletic Conference, which includes some of college basketball’s best programs. Teams such as Cincinnati, Memphis, Houston, UConn, Temple, UCF, Tulsa, Tulane, SMU, and East Carolina make up the American. With teams such as UConn, Memphis, Houston, and Cincinnati, there are many trips to the Final Four among them. When these teams come to the Sun Dome, it is a big event.
The Sun Dome has undergone a major renovation, so it is now like a modern, brand new basketball arena. You will enjoy the large video boards and the more luxurious surroundings while you watch a great college basketball game.
Many of these teams will be in the NCAA Tournament at the end of the season. Don’t miss out on a chance to see them in person.
