The Longwood Lancers basketball team has yet to play in the D-I NCAA Tournament but have made several trips to the D-II and D-III NCAA Tournaments. Will this be the year they make it to the Big Dance? Come out to Willett Hall this year and find out.
Longwood has produced one very good NBA player in their school’s history, Jerome Kersey, who you may remember from his days with the Portland Trail Blazers. Is the next Lancer to make the NBA on this year’s team? Come out to Willett Hall and see.
Longwood has played at Willett Hall since 1980. Willett Hall holds nearly 2000 Lancers fans for home games, which is enough to create a great college basketball atmosphere, but small enough to guarantee everyone a great view of the court. You can enjoy your favorite concession items such as hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and pretzels while you enjoy a great college game.
The Lancers are part of the Big South Conference which includes teams such as Campbell, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Gardner Webb, High Point, Liberty, Presbyterian, Radford, UNC Asheville and Winthrop. These teams will be trying to win the Big South Tournament and the NCAA Tournament bid that goes along with it. They will also be trying to win a postseason berth by winning the Big South regular season championship as well. So the action on the court will be fierce this season.
Bring the family out to Lancers Basketball this season at Willett Hall. You don’t want to miss out on the excitement.
