Sacred Heart has been to 12 NCAA D-II Tournaments and twice has made the Final Four. In 1986, Sacred Heart was the Division II National Champions. Can they get to the D-I NCAA Tournament in 2015? Come out to the William Pitt Center and find out.
The Pioneers play their games at the William Pitt Center, which opened in 1997 and seats over 2000 fans. Every seat is a great one and you will enjoy all your favorites from the concession stands such as hot dogs, sausages, pretzels and Coke products while taking in a great game. The students keep the noise level high by chanting and stomping their feet, making it tough on the opponents.
The Pioneers play in the Northeast Conference, which includes teams such as Bryant, Central Connecticut State, Fairleigh Dickinson, LIU Brooklyn, Mount St. Mary’s, Robert Morris, St. Francis NY, St. Francis PA and Wagner. These teams will be trying to win the NEC Tournament to win the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. But these teams will also be trying to win the regular season conference championship to make sure they get a bid to one of the other postseason tournaments should they not win the NCAA bid So the action will be intense all season at the William Pitt Center.
Don’t miss out on the action at the William Pitt Center for Pioneers basketball this season! Bring the whole crew out to as many games as you can.
