The Eagles advanced to the Round of 32 in 2007, their best showing in the tournament. The season before, they were beaten by a buzzer beater by Tennessee’s Chris Lofton, keeping them from advancing to the Round of 32.

There are only great seats at the Eagles games and you will enjoy all your favorite concession items such as chili, chicken tenders, hot dogs, wraps, pulled pork sandwiches and more while you watch a great game. The students keep the atmosphere lively as they take their basketball seriously at Winthrop.
The Eagles play in the Big South Conference which includes teams such as Campbell, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Liberty, Longwood, Presbyterian, Radford and UNC Asheville. These teams will be trying to get to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Big South Conference Tournament and earning the automatic bid. They will also be trying to get to the postseason by winning the regular season championship. So the action will be intense when these teams come to Winthrop Coliseum all season long.
You do not want to miss out on the great college basketball action at Winthrop Coliseum this season.
