With Honest, Future drops an album sure to become a mainstay as the summer slowly arrives. Though the record is just Future’s second, the rapper’s debut, Pluto, already established a scope of influence. To put it in perspective, Pluto came out a year before Yeezus, and it helped jump-start a new mantra in hip-hop—weird is good. Future now celebrates his new album with a performance of “Move That Dope” with Pusha T.
Future Performs on Fallon
Honest showcases a number of high-profile guest spots, including Pharrell (of course), Drake, and Kanye West, but the album never feels overwrought, despite its major label status. Future shows a focus on the artistry of his music, a trend that’s thankfully catching-on in the same vein as the focused introspection of artists like Drake and Kanye. That doesn’t deprive Honest of any bangers, though; have a look at the performance of “Move That Dope” with Pusha T.
