Kendrick Lamar Spreads ‘California Love’ At iHeart Radio Awards

Kendrick Lamar continued his ascent to the top of the rap game at last night’s iHeart Radio Awards by paying homage to a West Coast legend. In the clip below, the Compton emcee recounts the time his dad took him to watch Dr. Dre and Tupac film a music video in his neighborhood. Citing that moment as a major inspiration, Kendrick took the stage to perform Tupac’s “California Love” and his own “m.A.A.d. city.”
