On December 11th, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony will commence in Oslo, Norway. The prize will be presented to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, but first, various noteworthy artists will perform to honor the presentation (because why not?).
Morrissey, Jake Bugg, and Others Will Play the Nobel Peace Prize Concert
The concert portion of the event will be hosted by Homeland star, Claire Danes, and it will feature the likes of James Blunt, Mary J. Blige, Morrissey and Jake Bugg. Morrissey has kept busy lately, with the release of an autobiography (titled “Autobiography”) this year. The former frontman of The Smiths will reportedly perform three songs at the event. A set from the young folk-rocker Jake Bugg is equally exciting, especially considering his awesome second LP just came out and next year’s impending tour dates.
The event will air in the U.S. on AXS TV on December 11th at 8:30pm, or on millions of internet media outlets a day later.
