Pussy Riot’s Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina

After serving 21 months in Russian prison for staging a protest against Vladimir Putin inside a Moscow cathedral, Pussy Riot’s┬áNadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina will make an appearance at Amnesty International’s “Bringing Human Rights Home” concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Feb. 5. This will be Tolokonnikova and Alekhina’s first major public appearance since their release on Dec. 23, 2013.

Barclays Center To Host Amnesty International Concert

While most of the buzz will center on the recently freed Riot girls, the concert boasts an impressive roster of performers. The Flaming Lips, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Imagine Dragons, Tegan and Sara, the Fray, Cold War Kids, Colbie Caillat and Cake are among those slated to take the stage.
